Canvas and Marble ("we", "us") operates the brand and social profiles at canvasandmarble.com and on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and X under the handle @canvasandmarble. We publish short-form video content automatically generated from public-domain artworks. This policy describes what data we handle and how.
1. Data we collect
The website at canvasandmarble.com does not require user accounts and does not collect personal information from visitors. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which collect anonymous, aggregated traffic data (page views, country, device class) without cookies or fingerprinting.
When we use the Meta APIs to publish to our own Instagram account, we hold:
- Access tokens issued by Meta to our application
- The Instagram User ID of our own brand account
- Metadata of posts we publish (caption, media URL, timestamp)
We do not collect data from your Meta account. We do not log into other users' accounts.
2. How we use data
Anonymous traffic data is used to monitor site performance and detect abuse. Meta API credentials are used solely to publish content to our own accounts. We do not sell, share or rent any data to third parties.
3. Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies. The site may set strictly necessary cookies if you submit the contact form, only to prevent abuse of that form.
4. Data retention & deletion
Meta API tokens are retained while the integration is active. Aggregated traffic data is retained by Vercel for 30 days by default. You may request deletion of any data we hold concerning you at any time via the data deletion page, or by emailing hello@canvasandmarble.com.
5. Content origin
Visual content on our channels is sourced from public-domain artwork archives (The Metropolitan Museum of Art Open Access, Wikimedia Commons, Rijksmuseum and equivalent institutions). Narration is generated using speech synthesis. We do not claim authorship of underlying artworks.
6. Contact
Canvas and Marble is operated from Costa Rica. For any privacy concern, email hello@canvasandmarble.com.
